On Tuesday, Frenship ISD held its annual Superintendent's Academic Excellence Banquet to honor the top 10 students in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes. During the celebration, Katherine Dyal was honored as the FHS Valedictorian and Hitarth Shah as the FHS Salutatorian.
On Thursday, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership celebrated two milestones during their 20th Annual Drive for Leaders Golf Tournament. Not only was the tournament their most successful to date, with more than $100,000 in sponsorships for scholarships and teacher grants, but the Foundation also hit the $1-million mark for Character Scholarships awarded to graduating seniors since 2004.
The students who serve on Bennett’s 5th Grade Leadership Team chose to give back to Caleb’s Closet, a local nonprofit organization which provides essential items to children in foster care. The students helped raise numerous clothing items, toys, personal care products, and more.

FRENSHIP ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 4.873% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $48.73.
