Congratulations to the newest Panther, Nicki Morrison, who has been selected as the lead counselor for Frenship Memorial High School. With 23 years of educational experience, 16 of those as a counselor, Morrison will use her expertise and Frenship connections to help open the new high school this August.

Last week the Frenship High School Cheer Teams traveled to Fort Worth for the annual UIL Spirit State Championship. During the competition the Tigers made it into the finals and placed 12th overall. Head Coach Kayci Smith is very proud of the team’s hard work.

Last weekend, the Frenship High School Athletic Trainers competed in the West Texas Sports Medicine Society Symposium where they brought home the 2nd place advancing them to the state competition.

At the recent UMC Miracle Pennies fundraiser kickoff event, Frenship ISD was named the 2024 Overall District Fundraiser For Children’s Miracle Network. Gearing up for this year, several Frenship schools attended the event to brainstorm ideas and strategize for the annual fundraiser.

All of the students from Westwind Elementary were gifted books they can take home and keep, thanks to a grant written by Stacy Reavis, ESL teacher and PTA Board Member. The grant, funded by South Plains Electric Cooperative, has sparked excitement for reading and learning across the school.

Several Frenship campuses attended the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Empowerment Summit hosted by Texas Tech. Students engaged in leadership activities and career exploration, all inspired by Dr. King’s vision.

The First Tech Challenge is in full swing at Frenship ISD with dozens of middle school students competing in a recent meet. These students have shown perseverance throughout the season and continue to rise through the ranks.

Last week, 17 Frenship High School students competed in the DECA District Competition. Each student excelled in their individual events, earning a spot at the state competition in March.

Fifty-four Frenship students took a significant step toward advancing their media education by participating in the first ever CTE Dual Credit Signing Day. These students celebrated their commitment to earning college credit through South Plains College, marking an exciting milestone in their educational journeys.

Frenship High School Senior, Landry White was selected to represent the Frenship Pom Squad among 300 of the best dancers at the Texas Dance Educators Association.
