Before the Frenship Tiger Band stepped onto the field for Friday night's football game, they were presented with two huge donations for their students and their program. 

 

Colby Richardson with Family PowerSports Lubbock is a Frenship graduate and was in the Tiger band during high school. His years of playing at the then, Tiger Stadium, with the Frenship band made a tremendous impact on his life. 

 

He chose to enter the Tiger Band into a program sponsored by the business, Can-Am, hoping to receive some financial support for the current group of students in the program. 

 

"A lot of what I know was learned in school at Frenship," said Richardson. "I have a lot of gratitude for Frenship."

 

After his submission, the Frenship band was selected to receive $5,000 from Can-Am as well as a brand new utility vehicle to help transport heavy items and musical equipment at competitions and shows.  

 

Frenship was one of only four recipients across the state of Texas to receive this sponsorship.
