The girls traveled to Caprock High School for the Caprock Lady Longhorn Classic Friday and Saturday. This tournament is one of the toughest tournaments in the state with teams from El Paso, the Metroplex, and Colorado competing. The Lady Tigers set a school record with 5 athletes placing in this prestigious tournament. In the silver bracket, Sophomore Alli Bennett advanced to the finals and claimed 2nd place as the Tournament Runner-Up. Junior Meghan Ramos placed 3rd and Rebecca Vann, Andrea Laughlin, and Leanna Travino placed 4th.

The boy's grapplers took their talents to the Hereford Rumble. Senior Jake Mahaney went 8-2 and placed 5th out of 20 wrestlers in his weight class. Senior Jordan Thompson and Freshman Adryan Menchaca also had notable performances last weekend.

The Tigers will be back in action Wednesday, January 14th at home as they host Pampa and Hereford at 4 pm. The Tigers call the Ninth Grade Center West Gym home and Frenship Nation is invited to attend matches to cheer on the Tigers.
