Girls Soccer Looks to Snag District Lead
Tiger Girls Soccer completed another dominant week in cold conditions Friday night. Their Tuesday match was moved up to Monday due to weather, and they took down Amarillo Tascosa at the Frenship Soccer Pitch 6-0.
They followed that up with a 2-0 victory over the Lady Panthers of Odessa Permian on Friday, pushing Frenship to 8-0-2 (3-0) on the season. The Tigers have only allowed one goal scored against them on the season so far and will hit the road for an important test against the Midland High Lady Bulldogs (9-5-4, 3-0) on Friday. This match will be for an early lead atop the District 2-6A standings as both are currently tied in district play at 3-0.
Boys Soccer Back to Winning Ways
Frenship Boys Soccer’s Tuesday match was moved up to last Monday due to impending weather. They battled to a 2-2 tie against Amarillo Tascosa (4-9-3, 0-2-1). They rebounded Friday night at home with a dominant 5-0 performance over the Odessa Permian Panthers (4-6-2, 1-0-1).The Tigers will be on the road Tuesday against the Odessa High Broncos for a chance to move into second place in District 2-6A. Friday they will hit the road again, this time against the district leading Midland High Bulldogs (10-2-4, 2-0-1). The Tigers are 9-1-1, 1-1-1 on the season and looking to move into the mix atop the District 2-6A standings with two road victories this week.
