After a canceled 2020 season and nearly 11 months of off-season, Frenship Varsity Baseball kicks off their 2021 season with a scrimmage against Lubbock-Cooper.
“I expect our guys to go out and compete at a high level. I expect us to play with a lot of energy. This will be the first time we have competed against another team in almost 11 months. Our guys are excited to play!” said Head Baseball Coach, Chad Reynolds.
Frenship Varsity Baseball will return 16 players from last year and have 10-12 new players to add to the roster.
“We have to gain back our culture that players from our past teams have established. Our culture of playing the game the right way, playing with toughness and energy, and competing at a very high level. There is no doubt in my mind that this team has all of those traits. We just have to go out and do all of those things and earn everything we get. We will get that done, we just have to find the right guys to do it,” said Reynolds.
Frenship Varsity Baseball will take on Lubbock-Cooper at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6 at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
