Evan Johnson started things off for the Tigers with a two-run single after two walks loaded the bases. Coldon Kiser scored another run with a base hit, Brock Rogers scored a two-run single, and Jake Sherrard finished Midland off with a two-run double.
The win brings the Tigers to 8-3 in District play, something they needed before the final stretch of the season.
Frenship Baseball Head Coach Chad Reynolds said he thinks the biweek that his Tigers had helped rejuvenate them.
“I think our biweek helped us rest some arms and get some guys some reps in some scrimmages that they needed,” Reynolds said. “Hopefully we can continue to play well and finish off the series with a couple of wins this weekend!”
Reynolds said his team is fired up and can’t wait to continue their winning streak.
“The game on Tuesday went well, Evan Johnson was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, Barrett Workman was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI and 2 walks, and Jake Sherrard was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI,” Reynolds said. “We finish up the series with Midland High this weekend in Midland on Friday night at 6:00 an back here on Saturday at 2:00.”
