Despite all-star Tate Beeles being out with an arm injury, the Tigers offense adjusted their game plan in order to come out on top. Chad Pharies had 188 rushing yards and five touchdowns, Landon Hutchinson had six catches for 95 yards and Tai’ja Smith scored a crucial rushing touchdown and banked 72 yards.
On defense, Lincon Parrot and Kaden Meier had one interception each, which really helped seal the win.
Tigers Head Coach Jay Northcutt said the team is prepared to face Odessa Permian on Friday at home.
“Permian is always a good team, offensively they are hard to replicate in practice,” Northcutt said. “We are working on playing disciplined assignment football.”
Northcutt also wanted to mention that he is very thankful for some unsung heroes of the game
“I would like to personally thank all our trainers and managers for all the hard work they put into our program,” Northcutt said. “They are a vital part of the Tiger Family!”
