At the LCU High School Preview the Frenship Girls Cross Country team won the 5K division. The Frenship Boys Cross Country team took home third place in the 5K division.
“LCU was a great chance for all our kids to run together one last time before district,” Frenship Cross Country Head Coach Amanda Kirkpatrick said. “We are really looking forward to district this week!”
This Friday, October 15, Frenship will play host to the District 2-6A Cross Country Meet.
“We have wanted to host it for several years now, so this is exciting,” Kirkpatrick said. “Ideally, we would like to be able to participate in all the Homecoming festivities, but unfortunately our meet lands right in the middle of the pep rally. Hopefully everyone will be sending good vibes our way while pumping up the PIT!”
Kirkpatrick said that she is excited for her athletes and knows they are ready to compete on Friday, especially with it being Homecoming and the meet taking place in their own backyard.
“The kids deserve all the success on Friday,” Kirkpatrick said. “They have worked hard and dedicated lots of hours preparing for this meet. I look forward to seeing how they step up and face the tough competition our district will bring. Go, Tigers!”
