After the first round of the tournament, the Tigers sat in third but their combined team score of 316 on Tuesday is what helped them seal the deal. The Tigers played four strokes better than any team on Tuesday, led by Hunter Welch, who tied for first place individually with a 7-over 151.
Leyton Hiebert was only five strokes behind, tying for seventh place, while Rex Newsom was one stroke behind that in ninth.
Overall the Tigers scored 310 on Monday and 316 on Tuesday for a combined first place tournament score of 626.
