After the program's first ever Girls District Championship back on February 4 the Frenship Girls Wrestling team was on a roll. The girls followed up their District success with a 3rd place finish at the Region 1-6A Tournament out of 36 teams attending.
Two-time district champion and state qualifier Allie Bennett won the 128-pound weight class championship, and Audrey Lockhart won the 165-pound weight class championship, becoming the first Regional Champions in Frenship Wrestling history.
Also qualifying for the state meet was Rebecca Vann in the 102-pound weight class with a 4th place finish. For the Frenship Boys Wrestling team, Isaiah Kema will attend as an alternate in the 285-pound weight class.
The Tigers will compete in the State Wrestling Tournament today, February 18 and tomorrow February 19.
