The Tigers took on Midland High in the final game of the District 2-6A season last Friday, April 22. It took the Tigers nine innings to finally shut out the Lady Bulldogs, but they got the job done and took home the overall District 2-6A crown.
Pinch-hitter Lexi Clark's run-scoring single prompted Abbey Tarr with the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th, while Erin Boles sealed the deal for the Tigers leading Frenship to their first outright District win since 2014 at 11-1, with two narrow wins against their second place foes Midland High.
Sydnee Bowlin, Maddie Stewart and Abbey Tarr supplied two hits each, fueling an 8-hit Frenship attack, one more than pitcher Erin Boles surrendered in her 9-inning complete game.
The Tigers topped the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 to take the win.
