Frenship Baseball Wraps up Season as District and Bi-District Champs

During the area round playoffs, the Tigers started strong with a 1-0 victory over the Bobcats. Game two was another close one, but the Tigers fell short 0-1. Game three was another tough loss, 1-11 to end their playoff run.

Game 1 Recap: Blevins didn’t allow a single run and struck out four last Thursday at home against Byron Nelson. Roberson went two-for-three at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits. Frenship didn’t commit a single error, and Curbo made the most plays with 10.

Game 2 Recap: On Saturday, both teams were strong on the mound, but Byron Nelson was just a little bit stronger at the plate to push them to a 1-0 victory. Roberson started the game and recorded 17 outs. Hutcheson threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Phillips and Blakely each collected one hit to lead Frenship.

Game 3 Recap: The Tigers had a tough time generating runs during game three on Saturday, with a hard 11-1 loss. Phillips, Hutcheson, Curbo, and Blakely each collected one hit to lead the Tigers. The Tigers didn’t commit a single error.
