The Tigers faced the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates in the Crosstown Showdown, bringing home some impressive scores before a lightning delay suspended the match.
The boys swept the competition in doubles matches then had a minor loss during mixed doubles. The girls brought home the win in line 2 doubles and had two 3rd set breakers in line 1 doubles.
“The Tigers were playing so well and there was a lot of excited energy on the courts,” said Shelby May, Frenship High School Assistant Tennis Coach.

This week the Tigers battled against the Lubbock High Westerners. The Tigers fell short but are taking the loss as a lesson into this weekend’s matches.
“It's always good to host a strong competitive opponent especially prior to district play. We came up short but had a lot of good close matches that will make us a stronger team in district play on Saturday,” said Coach May.
