Girls Basketball Team takes Home Gold at Franklin Girls Classic Tournament and Continues Winning Streak

Last week, the Tigers traveled to El Paso, for the Franklin Girls Classic Tournament. While in El Paso the team broke a school record for the highest points scored in a game and is tied for the most consecutive wins.

The previous record for highest points scored in a game was set in 2021 against Abilene High in a district matchup, with a score of 96-30. The Tigers upped the record with 98 points during the tournament.

“This team has tied the record for the most consecutive wins at 16,” said Head Girls Basketball Coach Trent Hilliard. “That record was set in 2018 also with a 16-0 start. That 2018-2019 team went on to set the best record in Frenship history at 30-5. This team has already defeated 10 ranked opponents and the next three (New Home, Tascosa, Amarillo High) are all ranked as well.”
