Girls Soccer Shows Grit in Draw with Midland Legacy, Dominates Midland High in District Showdown

The first matchup of the week saw Frenship High School take on Midland Legacy in a hard-fought battle that ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite facing a tough opponent, the players displayed unwavering resolve, refusing to back down with a goal by Jada Reyes, assisted by Bay Biddix. Coach Denning emphasized the team's perseverance, stating, "Our players showed incredible resilience, refusing to give up even when the odds were against us."

However, the team quickly regrouped and turned their focus to their next challenge: a showdown with Midland High. Energized by the opportunity to bounce back, the Girls team unleashed a relentless assault from the beginning that ended in a 6-0 win over the Bulldogs. Coach Denning praised their determination, remarking, "Our players came out with fire in their eyes, determined to make a statement." Their efforts were rewarded with a resounding victory, as they dominated the pitch from start to finish.

With goals from Jada Reyes (2), Graham Peeples, Zeta McDannels, Baye Biddix, Lily Stone and assists from Cameron Beecham (2), Zeta McDannels (2), Baye Biddix, and Graham Peeples, the team secured a well-deserved triumph for the Tigers.
