Frenship Girls Golf Clinches Top Spots in Amarillo Tournament

The Frenship Girls Blue and Gold Golf Teams and one medalist bundled up this past weekend to compete in the Amarillo Tournament at Ross Rogers Golf Course.

“The weather was cold and windy, but I really like how our teams competed.  This was our last tournament before District on April 3 and 4 at Odessa Country Club. I really like how we played on two tough golf courses,” said Head Girls Golf Coach Roger Whipkey.

The Girls Blue Team finished in 3rd place and the Girls Gold Team finished in 4th place against 15 other teams. Individually, Kara Knight earned a medal coming in 5th place in the 1st Division. Alexis Howard earned a medal as well, coming in 4th place in the 2nd Division.  Alexis was competing as a medalist only.

Congratulations to Girls Blue Team members: Kara Knight, Melanie Jones, Kenley Baker, Brylee Kinman, and Dayna Keeling. Congratulations Girls Gold Team members: Emilee Jaime, Lauren Flores, Peighton Justus, Hayden Keeton, and Harli Keeton.

The Tigers compete in the 2-6A District Championship on April 3 and 4 in Odessa at the Odessa Country Club.

Good luck, Ladies!
