Frenship Boys Golf Competes at West Texas Boys Classic

The Frenship Boys Gold Golf Team came in 17th place against a strong field of teams, totaling 131 players. Boys Golf Coach, Dustin Thomas is proud of how the Tigers played against top competitors from across Texas.

“The tournament was a challenging test for the players, as they faced a set of tough courses and competitive opponents from the state,” said Coach Thomas. “Despite the placement, the experience provided valuable lessons for improvement as they continue to prepare for district play in the spring.”

Coach Thomas commends senior, Jetson Hobbs for a remarkable game of perseverance.

“Senior Jetson Hobbs played some of the best golf I have seen from him. Totaling 5 birdies on day one and 4 pars. Even though he found trouble at times, he continued to have a positive attitude and continued to claw his way with each shot. Jetson finished 31st overall,” said Coach Thomas.
