The Frenship Blue Boys Golf Team competed in El Paso on November 1st and 2nd at the Butterfield Community Links in a Match-Play format.
During the first morning rounds, the Tigers played against Lubbock-Cooper Liberty's team, and when it came down to the last player on the last hole, Liberty took the match 3-2. During the afternoon round against El Paso Cathedral, the Tigers fell short on the last hole, losing 3-2.
Things did turn around on Saturday morning for the Tigers as they faced El Paso Montwood, with a 4-0 win.

The Frenship Tigers competed in the San Angelo Bobcat Classic held at Quicksand Golf Course on November 8th and 9th. After a hefty 7 inches of rain the evening before the tournament, play was delayed until 1:00 pm on Friday and to 9-holes. Despite the weather setbacks, the Tigers shot a 160 to put them in 5th place out of 14 teams.
On Saturday, the Tigers were able to gain more momentum and shot a 316 pulling them to 4th place overall. Head Boys Golf Coach Andrew Correll is very proud of newcomer Miles Cooper who helped bring the Tigers to victory.
“Playing medalist in his first tournament of the year due to playing football, freshman Miles Cooper led all scorers with a 38-76-114 to earn him 6th place individually,” said Coach Correll.
