All Frenship High School DECA Students Advance to State Competition

The Frenship High School DECA team recently excelled at the district competition, competing against schools from across the region. Held on January 17 at Lubbock Christian University, the event featured role plays addressing real-life business scenarios, research papers, business and finance tests, and presentations.

Out of the hundreds of students who competed at the district level, all Frenship students advanced to the state competition. The DECA State Competition will take place March 6-8, 2025, at the Anatole Hotel and Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. During the event, more than 4,800 students and advisors will compete for a chance to advance to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). This year, the ICDC will be held in Orlando, Florida, in April.

Frenship DECA continues its tradition of excellence and looks forward to representing the district with pride. DECA advisors and FHS teachers Rachel Albritton and Nick Bompezzi expressed their immense pride in this group of hardworking students.

"Our students are very special and have bright futures ahead of them,” said Albritton. “They work hard and deserve to move on in the competition. They will do great!"
