2025-2026 Approved District Calendar (Next School Year)

Each school year, the Frenship ISD district calendar is created through collaboration with parents, Frenship administrators, staff, and representatives from all Frenship campuses. A survey with two draft calendars was provided to the community and pushed out to all parents and staff. After careful consideration based on feedback and survey results and in-depth discussions by the Calendar Committee, the Board of Trustees approve the district calendar. The draft calendar known as Draft B was approved on February 18, 2025, and can be found below.

Calendar Requirements and Important Notes

• The State of Texas requires a minimum of 75,600 instructional minutes for students.
• The District is required to have 187 working days for teachers. This includes staff development days.
• The week of Thanksgiving shows two staff development days as November 24-25. All professional staff members are required to complete staff development hours prior to the beginning of school. These hours are part of the contract expectation and will allow for comp time the week of Thanksgiving, meaning staff will not have to work on November 24-25.
