On November 3, 2020, registered voters in the Frenship District approved a $299.7 million bond to accommodate Frenship’s growth. More than 90% of the $299.7 million bond was dedicated to building additional schools and renovating existing facilities to accommodate the 2-5% student enrollment growth each year. This included the construction of three new schools in three years:
Frenship Memorial High School
As of the 2024-2025 school year, Frenship ISD has more than 11,700+ students across the district with nearly 3,300 high school students in 9-12 grade currently enrolled at FHS and the Ninth Grade Center. The opening of Frenship Memorial High School will help accommodate the current crowding and future growth while also providing additional opportunities for high school students at Frenship ISD.
Frenship Memorial High School will have the same academic and extracurricular opportunities as Frenship High School. Shared facilities between Frenship Memorial High School and Frenship High School include Peoples Bank Stadium and the Agricultural facilities.
Frenship Memorial will open in August of 2025 with just 9th and 10th graders and add a grade each following year. The first graduating class will be in May of 2028.

Attendance Boundaries: After gathering community input during town hall meetings and based on demographic studies and growth projections, the school board approved the high school attendance boundaries that will follow a feeder pattern. Heritage Middle School and Terra Vista Middle School students will attend Frenship Memorial High School. Frenship Middle School and Alcove Trails Middle School students will attend Frenship High School.

Repurposing Ninth Grade Center to Frenship Middle School
With the opening of Frenship Memorial High School, the current Ninth Grade Center campus will no longer be needed to house ninth grade students and will be repurposed to serve as the new Frenship Middle School campus. Right now, Frenship Middle School is currently housed in the oldest Frenship building still being used as an instructional facility. The projected timeline has FMS moving to the NGC in the fall of 2025 once Frenship Memorial opens.
Currently, the NGC is an extension of the main Frenship High School campus. NGC students share facilities at the high school such as the band hall, choir hall, and other athletic facilities. The 2020 bond includes funds to make additions to the NGC to create a stand-alone middle school with facilities that are equitable to other Frenship middle schools. Those additions include a fine arts wing with band and choir halls and athletic facilities such as a practice field and game day field designated specifically for the middle school.
Frenship Middle School Conversion
As we see student enrollment steadily climbing, the number of staff members is also increasing. Once FMS students and staff are relocated to the Ninth Grade Center building, the FMS building will be used for additional professional learning space and District offices.
