Administrative and Student Services

The Department of Administrative and Student Services encompasses areas that impact student needs in the areas of:

  • Health-Related Services
  • Bullying Resources & Prevention
  • Counseling & Guidance Related Services
  • School Safety and Security
  • Student Discipline & Compliance
  • Student transfers

Student Services is comprised of programs and services focused on supporting academic success.

Programs meet students' needs by addressing the skills and knowledge that promote healthy personal and social growth and development. Services address identified student behaviors or concerns that are interfering with their academic or personal growth.

The foundation of the programs begins at the campus level with the counseling and school health programs that serve all students. Incorporated into the foundation programs are Character Education and Safe and Drug-Free Schools prevention activities. Counseling and school health programs also include direct services that address individual student needs. Fitnessgram is given to all students annually to measure their growth in the area of physical fitness and weight management.

Bullying, cyberbullying, harassment or intimidation are serious and will not be tolerated by Frenship ISD. Parents and/or students need to report any incidents to school officials so that they can be investigated appropriately.

Safety & Security programs allow the ongoing process of the development and monitoring of a safe learning environment for our staff students. This is done through the District & Campus emergency response teams and through the Frenship ISD Police Department. Assessments of safety programs and of school facilities are done on a regular basis to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.

Student discipline processes and procedures are maintained and coordinated through the Department of Student Services. Communication of discipline expectations to the campuses ensures that discipline issues are handled consistently and fairly by all staff. Discipline processes are reviewed annually and maintained in the Student Code of Conduct (pdf below). The Reese Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) is a vital part of the discipline process in Frenship ISD.

Frenship ISD accepts Out of District and In District transfers. These transfers are accepted through the Department of Student Services and are reviewed on a regular basis for acceptance, renewal and revocation, as necessary.
