After banking the District championship, Frenship Boys Basketball (22-4) competed in the Bi-District match up on Monday, February 22 against the El Paso Franklin Cougars and were victorious. The Tigers went on to claim the Area Champions title on Wednesday, February 24 against the V.R. Eaton Eagles.

Tiger Soccer will play a total of six games in just nine days to catch up on their District matches after last week’s weather set them back. After several game reschedules the Tigers will be back on track after these nine games.

The Tiger Girls Basketball team ended their 2020-2021 playoff run at the 6A Area Round playoff game on Tuesday, February 23 and ended their season 20-6, 11-2.

The Tigers (20-4, 11-0) and Odessa Permian Panthers (17-4, 10-1) will meet up in a huge District rematch to decide the outright District Champion. The game has been rescheduled to take place on Saturday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tiger Pit.

The Tigers Girls Basketball team (20-5,11-1) secured the outright District 2-6A Champion title and will play in the rescheduled Bi-District game on Saturday, February 20 against El Paso Eastwood at Pecos High School at 3:00 p.m.

Donning their Frenship gear and wearing a smile, more than 70 Frenship students spent their Saturday helping the Boys and Girls Club of Lubbock hand out more than 1,200 boxes of free food to community members in need.

Frenship opened their spring slate on their home turf hosting the Frenship Invitational over two days at Reese Golf Center and Rawls Golf Course. The Tigers improved on their opening round shooting a team best 331 to move up three spots into third place behind Lubbock-Cooper and Amarillo High.

The Tiger boys golf team won every tournament they competed in through the Fall, with strong performances across the entire team including senior Logan Vargas, a University of Houston signee, and freshman Hunter Welch who steadily grew into a top competitor through the fall.
